WORK – When the past comes back to haunt us
A single mother and her two children settle in a small town and gradually discover their relationship with ghost hunters and the legacy left by their grandfather.
A nostalgic plunge into the fantastic comedy of the 80s, this new suite is a declaration of love to the fans of the first hour as well as a sincere tribute to a father (Ivan Reitman, deceased February 12, 2022) and to Egon Spengler (Harold Ramis, died February 24, 2014), his family being at the heart of the story.
Convening « spectrum » by Spielberg with the Amblin productions, this torch shift to vibrant emotion, to endearing characters (whether or not they are returning), to good-child humour and to rhythmic action scenes, unearth the frankness by resurrecting our memories within a entertainment respectful of his (family) heritage.

Clinic in its cleanliness but provided with a pleasant atmosphere « old school », the ultra-picked image of this UHD Dolby Vision transfer pays for a pretty rural setting whose beauty is becoming more refined vis-à-vis the Blu-ray.
The contribution of sharpness (house furniture « in ruins ») due to DI 4K is visible, the planes are even more detailed (faces, clothing, equipment, landscapes), the photograph dominated by brown is more balanced while enriching with brighter primaries (spectral appearances), the contrasts that are firmer accentuate the depth of blacks (literally abyssal) and the shine of whites (cf. clouds), and the light sources whose brightness is beyond doubt (the sun, proton flows) are magnificently exacerbated.
SON – Who you gona call?
Energized by virevolent effects, dynamics at its peak, grumbling basses and a score « Revised » With taste, these thrilling and not devoid of nuances sound tracks (the careful diffusion of voices and environmental atmospheres) embark us in a multichannel whirlpool of all the moments...
Especially the VO encoded in Dolby Atmos where aerial interventions (the movements of ghosts, protons, etc.) are not lacking.
CONCLUSION – The ghost hunt is open!

One of the few current remakes I found nice. Well, we don't escape free fan service and not always useful scenes, but the set is very entertaining and respectful of the original material. And then the kids play well, and just that already, it's a plus for this kind of movie!
It's exactly that, and I also found that it was a very good surprise where nostalgia works well. 🙂
