Work - Liam at the wheel, dead at the turn!
A businessman discovers that a bomb was placed in the car he drove by an unknown assailant. The latter orders him to carry out a series of actions throughout the day where the bomb will explode... killing him and his family.
Remake entertaining a Spanish film (El Desconocido), Liam Neeson(Ice Road, The Veteran, Murderful memory, etc.) without pretension takes the highway of an agreed scenario (including telephoned revelation) to reach efficiency « Old » the thriller of action in camera that he does not hide from being. And even though his monolithic actor is increasingly pantouflagic, hard to deny that this high voltage B series is rather well-losed.

Once the generic opening has passed (from color banding to gogo due to an indigent flow of about 10 kbps), this extremely stable Dolby Vision UHD transfer perfectly controls its compression (an average flow of 76 Mb/s) while proving more harmonious than the too smooth and brilliant Blu-ray.
The backgrounds are better defined (the Berlin buildings), the finer details are much clearer (the close-ups on Liam Neeson's face, the texture of the clothes), the cold colors dominated by the cyan take advantage of reinforced primarys, the grey levels are more varied (and thus connections with the concrete walls that dress the exteriors), the contrasts gain significantly in depth (from slightly darker images to black cossus and clean whites) and the light sources (up to 1115 cd/m2) have been adjusted for more realism (including the sunny light of the day).

Not as dynamic as expected (even though the prosecution of the last third remains no less spectacular), this rather sober spatial acoustic 3D soundtrack (the cockpit atmosphere being neutral as possible) delivers dialogues of great clarity (deformed voice of the master singer included) and enveloping music.
Immersion is carried out in good conditions (road traffic takes advantage of the horizontal layer) and the pressure of the bass gradually increases until implosion (the final accident). Very unsolicited, the verticality of mixing occurs only on rare occasions (resonance in the tunnel, falling debris following explosions).
CONCLUSION - 4-wheel Trap
After the plane, the train, the snowplow and the truck, it is the turn of the car to be taken in hand by Liam Neeson (too accustomed to this kind of role) in this umpteenth thriller under Speed the know-how of Nimród Antal Protects from road exit. As for the 4K Ultra HD support, it invites us to a more comfortable SUV ride thanks to the A/V services provided with a much better motor!
