Returning (in the past), the Predator « parachute » is hunting off a young Comanche (the revelation Amber Midthunder) in a survival « primitive » visually sleek that has a lucky face. And while the survival instinct of the two hunters is going to lead them to a great violent arm-of-fire (the clashes do not make in the lace), the alien saga to the dreadlocks (already the 5th opus for the creature of Stan Winston) takes a large bag of fresh blood. Contaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaac...
IMAGE - Let's walk through the woods
Captured numerically in 4K with anamorphic lenses (hence some sweetness), the sublime photography of Jeff Cutter shows his love for nature (The Return went through it) with even more conviction in UHD HDR10.
Clinical cleanliness (with the exception of a strangely noisy plane at the very end) and benefiting from a brighter colorimetric palette (vegetation, hot areas through thermal vision, yellow medicinal plant, fluo green blood), this image with more realistic natural light (the rays of the sun, torches) sees its contrasts wisely enhanced (blacks are denser and whites sharper) and its significantly enhanced accuracy (environments, accessories, costumes) without too much pushing the nits (about 200 cd/m2 on average). However, an even higher video bitrate (a measured average of 61 Mb/s) would most certainly have consolidated the mist scene which, in the state, leaves a bit of postrization.

Indifferent to legalisation « Dolby Atmouse », this dynamic 3D soundtrack pushes membranes at the slightest opportunity (especially during the appearances of the Feral Predator) and uses a serious muscular register (the impacts of the Tomahawk and Speargun projectiles, the arrival of the spacecraft, confrontation with the grizzly bear, the deflagrations of the proximity mines).
Spatialisation generously engages all the channels at its disposal with a remarkable demand from the rear scene (environmental atmospheres) and vertical channels (« Thornbird », the grunts of the bears, the flying fauna, the movements and clicks of the alien hunter), the dialogues are returned with maximum clarity and the tribal partition (signed by the composer Sarah Schachner) manifests a certain magnitude.
Whether you opt for the immersive comanche version (unfortunately medium labial synchronization) or the French dubbing (better controlled), the Dolby Digital 5.1 tracks manage without difficulty to send the wood (they do not lack power) despite a reduced sound wrap (multichannel mixing is inevitably less precise).
CONCLUSION - Dance with Yautja
In front of the camera of Dan Trachtenberg (10 Cloverfield Lane), an Indian ferocious hunts on the path of war on « Mupitsl » whose state-of-the-art arsenal is even more sophisticated on 4K Ultra HD support (a combative A/V performance). Will she succeed in hunting the hunter?
