WORK - A Family Story

The Davison family is gathered in their country house to celebrate the parents' wedding anniversary. As everyone begins to let their frustrations and grudges burst, the house is stormed by a group of masked killers. But under his innocent girlfriend looks, Erin will prove to be resourceful...

ThisMom, I missed the plane!in modeScreamis a game of gore massacre and fun to the baroque staging and to the fast pace, where the protagonists die one after the other in as radical a way as imaginative. Simply jubilatory.

IMAGE - The night of masks

Approved by the director, this all-new 4K restoration that breaks into your home with the help of a neat UHD Dolby Vision transfer, excels in reproducing the dark and autumnal photography ofAndrew Droz Palermo (The Green Knight) without the instability of contrasts and the abnormal softness (especially for a digital capture) that came to stain the Blu-ray published byTF1 Videoin January 2014.

The HEVC compression remains solid on its supports (an average bitrate of 69 Mbit/s), the increase in resolution is palpable from the first seconds (though plunged into the dark) with substantially enriched details (faces, interior furniture, more or less bent wounds), the colorimetric palette is proudly thickened (the WCG intensifying the brown tones and the scarmosis of the blood), and the contrasts are as much delight from the shadows (thanks to blacks at the increased depth where only the things supposed to be hidden remain) as from the high luminances (cf. the white blinding from the flash of the camera). Voluntaryly austere outside the glare mentioned above, the light sources are raised from one point to bring material to the sieved lighting.

You're Next (2011)

I hear the wolf, the fox and... the sheep.

Even if the LFE channel lacks a bit of impact (but no depth), this soundtrack encoded in DTS-HD MA 5.1 (24-bit, 2090 kbps), where it cuts and perforates all-va, uses its environment in a fun way (a cleverly designed mix) to amuse with tension.

The out-of-field (whether scary or not) is the lion's share in the surrounds, the effects come violently (the dynamics are vehement) in the soundscape and the dreadful cries, which are imposed from the second act without saturation or distortion, pierce the air. The dialogues are strongly exuded by the central and the music, whether it is diegetic (the songLooking for the MagicDwight Twilley Band) or extra-diegetic, breaks the house by its magnitude.

Since the noise from the floor is an integral part of the narrative, the activation of a virtualization DSP is necessary to counteract the absence of a 3D soundtrack.

CONCLUSION - Come in, it's open!

When home invasion opens the door to the slasher,Adam Wingard (The Guest) reverse the rules of the game so that the lamb takes on the role of the great bad wolf (the badassSharni Vinson) and predators become the three little pigs... Digne du Grand-Guignol sur support 4K Ultra HD by means of performances A/V that take a clever pleasure to stir the knife in the wound, this series B indé au sadisme rejoicing is indeed the horrific reel arrogant and gougard that she thinks is. Will you get a slice of it?

Nyctalope like Riddick and with a very good hearing, I am ready to jump on physical editions and SVOD platforms. But if the quality isn't on the rendezvous, stop at the bite! #WeLovePhysicalMedia
