In the mid-1990s, a new faction of Transformers, the Maximals, joined the Autobots to fight the Predacons while their fearsome leader Scourge was under the command of Unicron, a giant metal planet that wanted to devour the Earth.
Following the friendly lift Bumblebee, this seventh part inspired by the animated series Animants brings new impetus to the saga Transformers Not without nostalgia. Less frantic than those of Michael Bay but still dotted with Homeric confrontations between giant robots, this pure entertainment juice with well oiled mechanics to the right idea of tweaker its components to honor its human characters, interpreted by the talented Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback, so that they can exist in a stage space formerly dominated by robotic entities. And if the screenplay tropes are archaic, there is no less than the regressive spectacle led by a Steven Caple Jr. applied (the action is well cut) will be able to titillate the great children we stayed.

Apart from the video noise (on the source) during rare isolated plans, this UHD Dolby Vision transfer ticks all the expected boxes coming from a large machine captured in digital... Gloss, clarity, robustness and generosity, which WCG and HDR technologies can easily multiply against the most monotonous Blu-ray.
The encoding follows perfectly the pace, the levels of detail are stunning (everything is divinely textured), the colorimetric palette has a lot of punch (primary « Get out. » The contrasts are extremely bright (blacks are hard-wearing and whites dazzle), and the high dynamic range presses the reflections on the bodywork and breathes shine at the slightest light source (the heat of explosions is insane). Wow!
SON - Have it under the hood
If she's not as madly insane as those of the first five opus, this amazing Dolby Atmos soundtrack (in VO as in VF) is still to roar with pleasure.
Loaded with quaint effects and with a relentless dynamic, it stands out from the all-coming by absolutely monstrous basses and a wildly busy rear scene (each action scene proves it). The dialogues are clear, the absolute acoustic immersion, the fabulously hierarchical sound objects (with an aerial scene always at the same time) and the score of Jongnic Bontemps removed.
Even more powerful than his conœur and mixed at a slightly higher level, the VF dominates for once the arena... Especially as its dubbing (Dorothy is Airazor, Mister V is Mirage and Olympic Winter is Arcee), showing a remarkable presence on the plant (without the atmosphere being impacted), is a frank success. The best French track in the market? Maybe I am! Can you continue Paramount Pictures France?
CONCLUSION - Spark and go back!
While a crossover with G.I. Joe seems to announce, the flagship franchise of the giant Hasbro toy s'attack this time to the 90s and proves that it is not yet to be broken... Even more on 4K Ultra HD support (a stunning A/V performance) where Transformers, far from being rusty, can better ride mechanics! Fans are not likely to be disappointed.
I noticed on the VF Atmos light « pok » parasites. Especially very audible at the end credits at 2h03 and 11s and 2h03 and 44s. And there are a lot of others in the movie. I'm surprised you didn't notice. For this is a mastering defect that should be exchanged.
