A group of girls decided to go swimming near underwater ruins off the Brazilian coast. They will soon realize that they are not alone under the water...
Very entertaining in the absence of credibility, this horrifico-disastrophe series B keeping with the appearances (marking) of its sharks, is a survival to the ubiquitous tension and to the attacks (surprises) of the harging which bites the poncives of the harksploitation with full teeth. After the horrific drama 47 Meters Down, best alternative to the founding work of the genre The Teeth of the Sea, Johannes Roberts confirms his appreciation for swimming in hostile waters.
« - What about the shark? - Don't wear it looks blind. - Was that great white? - It's like that Mexican tetra fish it must've had down here. »

Taking place at 90% underwater, the film delivers a photograph plunged into darkness (but no less clear in what it wants to show) that the present UHD HDR10 transfer, despite some traces of color banding and the irregular appearance of a video sound sum all digital, reproduces with even more strength than its counterpart 1080p CSD (less stable in agitation and more cloudy in low light). The average bitrate was calculated at 83.6 Mbit/s.
Taking advantage of more distinct details (submarine decorations, damaged skin of sharks) and taking advantage of clearly denser blacks (for a feeling of increased depth), the images also involve more adventurous colours (primarily overflowing in the open air) and leave strong bright flashes (dive lamps, flares) with the intensity frankly raised (light of the day blows the nits).
Ultra-immersive, this mix presented in DTS-HD MA 5.1 which leaves no minute of respite to the speakers, has stopped creating a particularly intense soundscape supported by fierce dynamics.
Water pressure, still in motion, bubbles that escape masks and movements of water « White Death » enjoy a palpable presence... just like the voices broadcast through the divers' radios. As for the bass, they are badly physical, they invite themselves during squalal attacks and/or underwater disasters.
For even more sensations, I can only advise you to activate a virtualization DSP to enjoy a verticality far from being harmless (cf. rocking).
Between The Descent and Sanctum, shark film more and more spectacular that benefits from the efficiency of its concept (unfortunate divers limited in oxygen blocked in a city submerged with big whites), develops a feeling of anxiety raised on 4K Ultra HD support by means of A/V services not lacking biting!
Nyctalope like Riddick and with a very good hearing, I am ready to jump on physical editions and SVOD platforms. But if the quality isn't on the rendezvous, stop at the bite! #WeLovePhysicalMedia
