While attending a pop concert with his beloved daughter, a serial killer named « The Butcher » is trapped by the police. Will he escape?
If he emerges too quickly from his high-concept and constantly interpelles in his (big) strings d'écriture, this psychological thriller that adopts the point of view of his antagonist (Josh Hartnettenjoy yourself in the macabre funnyness) enjoy his game of cat and mouse in (multiple) closed-door juggling skillfully with the spectator's expectations. And while it is true that he left his subtlety behind the scenes, this rather surprising style exercise did not forget his ludism once on stage. Take your tickets,Mr. Night Shyamalan (Unbreakable, Knock at the Cabin) takes care of everything!

IMAGE - From all angles
This UHD Dolby Vision transfer with exemplary encoding (an average video bitrate of 88.4 Mbps) displays a modern image in which the licked and falsely shining photograph (the MaxFALL was measured at 99 cd/m2 and the MaxCLL at 124 nits) by the chief operatorSayombhu Mukdeepromreveals itself in all its splendor. In the absence of a Blu-ray (no matter what a digital copy code accompanies this edition), no comparison between the two media could be made.
Neck and richly detailed (faces, clothing, environments), it delivers a generous colorimetric palette during the show (see stage lighting) and more reserved outside. The contrasts are perfectly supported, the clarity in the ambient darkness is maintained throughout (thanks to the blacks of a superb accuracy) and the light sources, usually in the restraint, are of certain realism (the light of the stadium corridors, the stage projectors, the flashlight of thousands of mobile phones).
Sound - Concert with a closed window
With its impressive acoustic width and its multiple points of reference at the rear (among other things at the venue of the show), the still immersive VO Dolby Atmos (24-bit, 3076 kbps) ensures a serious show!
The spatialization and activation of the height channels (the echoes in the representation space, a helicopter) are particularly eloquently illustrated within the Tanaka Arena compound, where the crowd chatter and the fans are coming from all sides. The dialogues are of great clarity, the instrumental score ofHerdís Stefánsdóttirshares the scene with the original songs ofSaleka(American singer-songwriter of R&B and daughter of the filmmaker), particularly highlighted by mixing, and the LFE channel structure music (serious physicals that encourage dancing) while strengthening the impact of door destruction.
Without any vertical dimension (partially recoverable with a virtualization DSP), the VF presented in Dolby Digital 5.1 (640 kbps) is a fairly good compromise for those allergic to subtitles. Although less expressive in its multi-channel rendering, it remains broad and precise enough to reproduce the ambience of the concert. With a good volume level, the dubbing integrates well with the original mixing.
CONCLUSION - The trap was almost perfect
While the psyche of a stalker killer is divided in escape, the black comedy torn between the malicious suspense and the family drama invents devices inside the device to never wean its audience. And in this mouse where the goal is to find an exit door, the present 4K Ultra HD (A/V services booking the Ultimate VIP Experience) does not hide any access to exploit.
