It is brought to the attention of our dear readers as well as the viewing equipment specified and used by each tester of the MaG team, the rendering may differ from one installation to another, whether or not it is calibrated, as well as personal preferences and expectations may influence the rating.
With one word – Tenet – and determined to fight to save the world, our protagonist travels the twilight universe of international espionage. His mission will project him into a dimension that exceeds time. Yet, it is not a journey through time, but a time reversal...
Christopher Nolan's film-sum, this great SF thriller as inventive as it is spectacular is a demonstration of strength (and not just conceptual) at all times.
Virtuoso staging is enhanced by a UHD HDR10 transfer as perfect as possible (a phenomenal pique, ultra-realistic extended colours, extremely refined contrasts and incredibly bright light sources), which only aims to recreate the breathtaking experience experienced in dark rooms (a 65 / 70 mm capture with ratio changes).
Angrous and particularly physical, the soundtrack (proposed in DTS-HD MA 5.1 at the request of its director) is as invigorating as the action it accompanies. Balanced on the side of immersion and unchained when the dynamics decide to send, it is reinforced by an LFE channel that stopped diving extremely low.
Undoubtedly, here is the best non-3D mixing in history.
Sensory experience above all, this edition had to be in tune with the work that it accompanies... And it is!
Nyctalope like Riddick and with a very good hearing, I am ready to jump on physical editions and SVOD platforms. But if the quality isn't on the rendezvous, stop at the bite! #WeLovePhysicalMedia
