Scream VI Unlocks on our screens and explodes the box office. Undoubtedly, the famous Ghostface by Wes Craven (appeared in 1996) causes at least as much blood to flow as money. But on our side, we'll just sink as little as possible!
What's the cause?
Directly following the Scream In 2022, we find survivors of the previous section (the Carpenter sisters and the Meek twins) who will leave Woodsboro to end up with the big apple. Yet the anonymity guaranteed by New York streets will not spare them from the deadly impulses of a new Ghostface...
Meta-horror
Not surprisingly, Scream VI is still as meta. We're doing some name dropping The titles of our favorite horror films are mentioned in a mess, and the first Scream Queen of the film is made a film teacher, specialist in slashers. The film will also ironize on the « franchise » cinema, a cynical company when you see the shape of the saga! But beyond the quotation, there is not much substance in this 6th opus.
An arc-bouted film about the past
Everything in Scream VI smells of naphthalin... We recycle everything without renovating anything, so that the film feels obliged to summon all the emblematic figures of the saga of Wes Craven. 3D does not bring anything (if not money to those who can sell their more expensive places) and the gallery of characters is resolutely too large to make them credible.
Yet all those who will come without any other expectation than to find whodunit well-tied will certainly find their account, at least until a turbo-mongol final at the possible time too long.
I had found the 5 extremely bad, a real total fucking face, even worse than the 3 that was really very bad. Well, this sixth film is the same acabit...
Not yet seen this 6th opus, but I also found the 5 very bad. My opinion is available on the site if ever. 😉
