WORK – No, but say, is it good or not?

The action took place in 1985... but not for very long. Because young Marty McFly will soon be propelled in the past, more precisely in 1955, aboard a plutonium-powered DeLorean, a car created by the eccentric genius Doc Emmet Brown. But by inadvertently preventing his parents from falling in love, he provokes a chain reaction that upsets the space-time and risks nullifying his own destiny...

Pure entertainment with a noblely playful script and great actors, trilogy Back to the future From one episode to the next manages to make live together on a rhythm of humor, sadness, tension, action (many pieces of bravery) and science fiction.

IMAGE – Everyone's beautiful, are you sure?

Despite highs (solid compression, increased brightness, precise definition, refined details, richer color calibration, modernized contrasts) and lows (measured use of DNR and some softness), the new 4K scan leaves the aging HD master in a past today's past.

SON – He who has ears to hear, hear!

Adapted to modern requirements, the Dolby Atmos soundtrack reserved for the VO is ample and immersive with effects/ambiences (including air) that show authority and a score that's always as stunning.

Strong even if more frontal, the VF DTS 5.1 is provided with clear voices (cf. that of the inescapable Doc) and spreads some very sympathetic surround effects.

CONCLUSION – Every good thing has an end...

With this collection box Ultra HD Blu-ray, the cult saga on time travel celebrates its 35th anniversary. Still as exciting as it is, she's younger than her age because technically, she's just fantastic. It must also be said that the audio-video upgrade is obvious!

Back to the future – Trilogy

Nyctalope like Riddick and with a very good hearing, I am ready to jump on physical editions and SVOD platforms. But if the quality isn't on the rendezvous, stop at the bite! #WeLovePhysicalMedia
