If the first quarter of an hour is just another repetition of the Marvel formula, this superheroic blockbuster where the scenario has been lost in a parallel universe is fast « parasitic » by Sam Raimi, whose grain of madness (his leg is clearly visible) propels us into a great eight barded of action and magic that adopts a frantic rhythm, shoves the codes of the genre and is crossed by a joyful horrific vibe (the flesh subdues and the blood flows). Inspired by the lack of being completely unbridled, this suite that quickly finds its own identity proves that it is still possible to explore new territories within the MCU.
IMAGE – From one world to another
Between the brilliance of a blockbuster Marvel and the darkness of the horrific films signed Sam Raimi, this image « mixed » offers a quality UHD HDR10 transfer that enhances that of its counterpart 1080p CSD.
Very clean and with more refined textures (the levitation cape, the makeup that gives « life » At Zombie Strange, it benefits from increased clarity, more complex details (see the background), a rich spectrum of colours (oranges, reds and more energetic greens), firm contrasts (the austere decor in which Sinister Strange is evolving speaks of himself) and light sources with increased aggressiveness (such as witchcraft, daylight and music notes).
SON – Beware of spells!
With a variety of environmental atmospheres and wild pyrotechnic effects (powers and other damage), this VO Dolby Atmos with a more intense dynamic than expected (but without giving up some restraint) and impressive multichannel activity (high channels including debris falls, rock throws, supernatural manifestations, overflights of characters, etc.) nevertheless lacks a little depth (lows being only reasonably striking) to accompany the visual madness of the work properly.
Although less extensive and precise (especially at the rear), the VF is involved and manages to maintain the environment of listening to its conscience (once activation of a virtualization DSP). In fact, except for a lower impact, the musical battle « Beethoven vs. Bach » It remains memorable.
CONCLUSION – The multiverse breach is spreading?
Coming to close the very good series WandaVision by making a cuckoo to Bruce (Evil Dead) Campbell, the 28th opus of the Marvel Cinematic Universe explores the (smoothing) possibilities of the Multivers not without a more durable 4K Ultra HD spell!
