WORK – Wakanda's new guard
Queen Ramonda, Shuri, M As the people strive to move forward, our heroes will have to unite and rely on the help of the mercenary Nakia and Everett Ross to bring the kingdom of Wakanda into a new era. But a terrible threat arises from a kingdom hidden deep in the oceans: Talokan.
Despite the lengths due to a scenario too dense and the heavy specifications of the Marvel machine, this war tragedy claims its feminism and denounces imperialism in a story as sincere as it is well known (a plunge into political conflicts) where the tone is quite serious. Between land and sea, the staging ofRyan Cooglerdoes not take water and mourning (a vibrant tribute toChadwick Boseman) gives birth to superheroes (led byLetitia Wright) which are not lacking in fabric. Spectacular and militant, this suite is worthy of its elder.

Even if deprived of IMAX Enhanced and Dolby Vision encodingDisney+, this UHD HDR10 transfer proves to be more refined and differs greatly from its 1080p SDR counterpart.
The image is given a better clarity (the corners of the frame sometimes blurred are inherent in the source), a clearly increased sharpness (the details of the skin, the complexity of the costumes, the richness of the decorations), more flourishing colors (from the fabrics to the more daring hues, the more vibrant primary ones) and a healthier carnation, better shaped contrasts (consolidated shadows and exacerbated whites) notwithstanding the lightness of some blacks, and light sources with a great shine (artificial lighting of the Shuri laboratory, reflections in the water) where the high luminances are much better bruised (the light of the day that pierces the windows of the throne room no longer eclipses the clouds and the city of the background) and the brighter gildings.
SON – mourning for mourning
While the envelope is excellent with a balanced surround extension (academic life, bursting waves, battle on and off the Sea Leopard) and a qualified aerial support (flights from Namor and Ironheart, debris falls, many flying gears, splashing water), the unprovoking dynamic, the disappointing impact of the subwoofer and the low recording level remind us that the sound tracks « Dolby Atmouse » are (unfortunately) still current in the studio with great ears. Fortunately, the dialogues are broadcast with great clarity and score, where the American urban scene and the orchestral score ofLudwig Göransson, impeccably ventilated.
Barely less immersive (I recommend activation of a virtual DSP to recover most of the height effects), the VF proposed in Dolby Digital Moreover, 7.1 has more bodies. The sound show thus gained in scope and energy (the race-continuation in the streets of Cambridge).
CONCLUSION – The king is dead, live the king!
If it is never easy to fill the void left by the departure of a loved one, theMCUclimb the slope with this suite respectful of the legacy ofBlack Panther. And while the spirit of his late star haunts the thoughts of this 30th saga film (!), the succession seems assured... Especially in 4K Ultra HD whose majesty (good A/V performances) is located in the kingdom of Wakanda.

The 8 in audio is very nice.
Such anaemic action film in the grave is worth less than that.
Of course, but spatialisation is really neat and turning to VF makes it possible to enjoy a more physical soundtrack. After that, there is not only the note in life (where the literal appreciation). 😉
