By playing the nostalgia card with Portal mode, while increasing the number of players to 128, BF2042 has the cook's syndrome that systematically doubles the portions of butter in the pancake dough to fill its guests. BF is currently full of logs and would probably have deserved a more assertive boost. If the gameplay had never shown as much fluidity in the freedom of movement and action as it proposes, it was more likely to evolve in a sandbox, where everything would be destroyed on its way, without any rules other than the pleasure of the petory. BF2042 does not do in finesse and will be comforted in these few gameplay epiphanies and these « Battlefield moments » who still squishes the parts with an unparalleled plume. However, one will regret the lack of audacity and vision for a series that would have gained to retain its identity rather than to sluggishly pick in all trends « Arts » that gangrene modern FPS. If the pancake always returns to the side of the butter, no need to soak the pan of fat without risking indigestion. The last-born Swedish studio probably had bigger eyes than the belly. Will Battlefield 2042 be able to resist our appetite once satisfied by other FPS probably more homogeneous?
For
- The return of helicopters
- An arcade and controlled gunplay
- A florileg of game modes
- Real-time weapon customization system
- Unmatched flow of movement
- Battlefield moments still as fun
- The gameplay verticality offered by the grapple and zippers
- The Portal mode that should bring an interesting replay value
- The guignolesque "political" context...
Against
- Lack of overall vision
- Generic DA and vomiting punchlines
- Bugs on the move
- Balancing by a blind man
- Teamplay down
- Lack of finesse
- Tasteless Cards
- General interface to strawberries
- Customization of archaic and unethical weapons
- Where did the war frigates go in 2042?

Chaotic. I think it's the word that's enough to describe this Bf at all levels (perhaps also at the level of its development...).
It's a monster mess, for sure. I wonder if the pandemic has played on development, even if the covid on the back. I believe more in Christmas's calendar to sell cakes on a scale. I think I know you're playing on Xbox one, we could make a game on occasion if you want. Don't hesitate to send an MP.
I don't even know how it works in crossplay. 😅 Must have an EA account, but from what I understood this part too is a big mess. Plus without chat, interest is completely limited (or you and Bennj should use the xbox app on PC).
For the covid, I think it didn't help at the technical level, but the biggest problems in the game are fundamental problems and decisions that have been made that have no meaning...
I don't want to stop playing and start having fun. 😁
I had discovered the seriesBFwithBF3360 at the time, so many memories! I wonder if it works well.crossplayNever tried.
I fully agree with Killer7's criticism of this Battlefield 2042 (and I would have been more virulent if I had been critical) . This game is in the image of the games of 2021 (and even in recent years....) , not finished games that literally don't care about the mouths of the players and the worst part of it is that it goes without worries....... I'm hurting my JV
What is not normal is that some players find it acceptable to release an unfinished game on the pretext that the launch of BF4 was even worse... Each launch of BF is always a cross path and yet the publisher does not change his practices. In the long run, it is a more than questionable strategy. For such a heavyweight like EA, it's unfortunate not to afford to respect players who have been licensed since the start. And it is the developers who bring the anger of the community back to the networks. It may take more than one patch to balance the set.
That and then thin it's expensive a new game at launch! The least you can do would be to have a game over. Or you have to sell it cheaper at launch.
In the absolute sale cheaper a game that is fared up to the os in fact is honest and salutary, but for the publisher it is a bad signal sent (especially when you are a publisher like EA, a box that is on the stock exchange, shareholders etc......) .
The games that fall after 2.3 weeks after their exits y but not commercially....)
And we can go back to... 1st Mirrors Edge for the same case.
Personally I buy less and less game DAY ONE, not only for a matter of finishing but well financial (Sauf... at Nintendo!!!! There, on the other hand, they have to buy the games Made In Nintendo as soon as they are released because these games are not devalued in time by Nintendo, for example as a Zelda BOTW date is still 59,90 even almost 5 years after its release).
Then it's better to get his Nintendo game at 40-45€ in DAY ONE rather than at 50-60€ A few months later. 💰🎮👍
I can only pay more for what you say about Arkane Studios because I just bought Deathloop at half price. I was surprised to see him so cheap when he came out recently...
[...] my disappointment of the year was... Battlefield 2042 (tested here). Be careful, it's not a bad game, but it's not a big BF. We can say this [...]
