WORK – Full body
After the death of Charras, Lino and Julia took over and formed the new shock team of the narcotics brigade. Determined to find the murderers of his brother and mentor, Lino continues to hunt down and will not let anyone get in his way.
Taking to the letter the well-rounded recipe of the first part, this direct suite that goes even further is an actuator led to 200km/h that smells good castagna and sheet metal. And if the scenario remains lazy, the sincerity with which the action leads the race (inspired, spectacular and without digital special effects) makes it a real adrenaline thrust driven by a Alban Lenoir very physically involved (Jason Statham Only to be good). Here at his best, the French action cinema seems to have a good day ahead of him with Guillaume Pierret To the levers. Really. Lost ball 3 !
IMAGE – On the South Motorway
Two fingers away from the road exit because of a low light compression (in the first few minutes of the blow), this UHD SDR image remains well-carrosed even if a small Dolby Vision encoding would have given it chandelier. According to his director whom I asked the question, the lack of HDR technology is due to a cost (in money and time) unfortunately not negligible.
So outside of an encoding that has a lot of difficulty passing the second (happily, this is never a problem during the scenes taking place in broad daylight), the definition is solid, the precise stitching, the affirmed contrasts and the rutilating colors (cf. the red blue gyrophars).
SON – No time to breathe
Too shy (the dynamics and the rear scene remained in the garage) and absolutely not holding the road to support the action, the soundtrack of the first Lost ball has been badly doubled by this track encoded in Dolby Digital Plus 5.1.
Taking the road without ever getting to burn the tires, it does not stay locked in the counter and releases the gas. Spatialisation is not avarous to pyrotechnic effects, surround enclosures only rarely release pressure (if this is during the rare quiet moments) and bass can finally knock (especially during carbbling). We are certainly not (yet) at the level of Fast and Furious, but envy is not lacking. Maybe with a Dolby Atmos mix!?
CONCLUSION – Faster and Furious?
Saved by Netflix, saga Lost ball that French cinema has consistently rejected is today in pole position in its specialty. And if the streaming giant agreed to release additional funds, no doubt his A/V performances (no HDR or 3D soundtrack), well motorized but without turbo, would come out winning!
Nyctalope like Riddick and with a very good hearing, I am ready to jump on physical editions and SVOD platforms. But if the quality isn't on the rendezvous, stop at the bite! #WeLovePhysicalMedia
