WORK – Blood ties don't make the family
Dominic Toretto leads a quiet life with Letty and his son, little Brian, but they know that the danger is still hidden behind the peaceful horizon. This time, this threat will force Dom to face the sins of his past if he wants to save those he loves most. His team is meeting to stop an upsetting plot led by the most talented murderer and the best pilot they have ever met: a man who happens to be Dom's abandoned brother, Jakob.
If the lack of dosage, the beauty of every moment, the capillotracted scenario and the implausances per kilometer do not prevent you from riding, this 9th opus which regularly flirts with nostalgia and especially anything (which he fully assumes) will lead you to the misunderstanding and excess.
Because generously decomplexed and stuffed with adrenaline, this blockbuster does not like the others never brake in everything he undertakes... Starting with crazy action scenes.
On the finish line, almost in controlled slippage, Fast & Furious 9 is as stupid as it is fun!

If he crosses the finish line before the remarkable Blu-ray, it's not just for his pixels (the definition is already at the top in HD) but thanks to HDR technology (HDR10+ or Dolby Vision).
Equipped with saturated colours, the photograph takes full advantage of Wide Color Gamut during flashbacks (where the sepia tint is accentuated) and as soon as the primaries enter the race. The jungle greens are thus more vibrant and the red-orange shades of the more intense explosions. In the vicinity, the contrasts are even brighter (blacks are particularly dense) and the light sources are more glaring ( Tokyo neons, tactical flashlights).
Charged with CGI, the image from a DI 2K is not much more detailed... And anyway, the dive is still terrible. Neither soft nor artificially accentuated, however, it refines some elements of the frame such as close-up faces and background decorations. In addition, the tingling (not the voluntary granulation that beautifully covers Dom's memories) is now present only on a handful of planes.
SON – Vroum vroum, boom boom!
At the head of the peloton, this soundtrack Dolby Atmos far from being refined is a « Sound aggression » Highly spectacular that has it under the hood!
The dynamics are bogged down, the distribution of the effects / atmospheres excellent (cf. the steel cable during the jump in Montequinto), the surround enclosures taken by storm, the air scene in full health (helicopters, a zipline, debris, etc.), the devastating basses (the rumbling of engines, the detonation of mines, the rollover of the armoured truck) and the very airy score.
Even though the VF is so large and powerful at its level, it cannot compete without being able to unblock its meter.
CONCLUSION – Too much race?
In loss of speed to want to go ever further, always higher (to reach the space on the end), this chapter full of action and of « bullshit » Get a well-carved 4K Ultra HD that prevents it from getting off the road!
