Adapted from Frank De Felita's novel, this fantastic drama that abandons the spectacular for suggestion is certainly classic in his score but no less disturbing in his speech. Many scenes are challenging (the nightmare under hypnosis), the tension that is palpable is filled with fear, the actors are wonderful (Sir Anthony Hopkins in mind) and the realization of Robert Wise cleverly effaced in front of the solidity of the plot.
