WORK - One in the other
Bill and Janet Templeton are a happy couple. Together with their little daughter Ivy, they lead a quiet life. But very quickly, their idyllic life will turn into a nightmare when their daughter is tormented by terrifying visions...
Adapted from Frank De Felita's novel, this fantastic drama that abandons the spectacular for suggestion is certainly classic in his score but no less disturbing in his speech. Many scenes are challenging (the nightmare under hypnosis), the tension that is palpable is filled with fear, the actors are wonderful (SirAnthony Hopkinsin mind) and the realization ofRobert Wisecleverly effaced in front of the solidity of the plot. In fact, how can I forget?
IMAGE - Invisible deceased
Unfortunately deprived of the 2K restoration (from a 4K scan of the original 35 mm negative) initiated in 2022 by the Arrow publisher, this HD transfer is too aging (most likely that operated by Twilight Time in 2014) to fully convince in 2023... Especially as the encoding declines from there and leaves a slight pixelization.
The stability of the image is sometimes flickering, the details lack precision, the silver texture is regularly too thick, the colors are not warm enough (whites have been neutralized) and the contrasts are a little rough. Nothing really unpleasant either, the cleanliness (with a few small white dots) being of bet.
Your eyelids are heavy...
Very close to one another even if the dialogues of the VF, deafer and over-mixed, interfere with certain effects (such as rain), these soundtracks 2.0 mono obviously few (without the music ofMichael SmallHowever, the balance and return without sizzling or breathing are still well balanced.
CONCLUSION - Reaching Issue
Since the soul will continue to reincarnate (return to the flesh) until it evolves naturally (its evolutionary journey on Earth before uniting in God) from immaturity to spiritual enlightenment, the present Blu-ray will still have to live many lives in view of its little accomplished A/V performances. But his pursuit of dharma is already well advanced since his three-part digipack is superb, the interview with Stéphane Du Mesnildot (criticism of theCinema books) exciting and the informative booklet of 24 pages (designed by the faithful Marc Toulelec) very interesting.
Nyctalope like Riddick and with a very good hearing, I am ready to jump on physical editions and SVOD platforms. But if the quality isn't on the rendezvous, stop at the bite! #WeLovePhysicalMedia
