WORK – Alien Zzzzzz...

A maintenance agent must maintain an interstellar arch, fleeing the dying planet Earth, with a few thousand lucky souls aboard... humanity's last hope. Unfortunately, humans are not the only passengers. A metamorphic alien creature has taken up residence. His only goal is to kill as many people as possible before using the ship as a weapon of destruction. The crew must think quickly to stop this threat before it destroys humanity.

Z series in autopilot, this survival of space horror is theAlien From Wish !!! The bravest of you will have to stuff yourself with a bald staging, a strawberry montage, a rascal writing, inept dialogues, three corridors as sets, ultra-cheap special effects, a Fisher Price arsenal, actors under Xanax and a monster, not zombie species In red and blackMost generic. And another shipwreck for Bruce Willis!

IMAGE – Do you like corridors?

If the frequent lens-flare and steam mask some of the details, already moderately affutiated during the dark sequences, it is nevertheless obvious that this transfer UHD HDR10+ improves the solid rendering of its HD counterpart (compared with the French disc edited by Metropolitan Video).

For if the pique is only barely enhanced (the close-up), the generally cold colorimetric palette becomes more lively (the reds), the contrasts of a beautiful density are reinforced (the blacks are deeper and the whites are clearer), the light sources in a futuristic neon way become more intense (the blue flames) and the HEVC encoding removes the rare compressive traces of the Blu-ray (the colour banding is no longer part of the crew).

SON – GREU, GREEEEEUUUU, GRRR, GROAAR!

Despite a certain lack of life (the atmospheres remain quite limited) and a dynamic less striking than expected, budget at the discount obliges, this mix proposed in DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 does not neglect its effects (well felt) or its basses (agitated) when the action comes. And the same is true of spatialization, which is rather convincing, of the back stage, which is well present, and of the voices that are always clear.

CONCLUSION – Scam « Bouse » Willis

Apart from a drinking evening between friends, the low-end DTVs « carried » (yes it is a great word) by Bruce Willis (or one of his wax representations in view of his « efforts ») can (must?) be avoided at the risk of forgetting its legendary « Yippee Ki Yay » ..... And despite a valiant 4K Ultra HD, it's not the present Anti-Life which will contradict me, on the contrary.

Nyctalope like Riddick and with a very good hearing, I am ready to jump on physical editions and SVOD platforms. But if the quality isn't on the rendezvous, stop at the bite! #WeLovePhysicalMedia
