WORK - Arac Attack the Block
Kaleb is a young adult who lives in small jobs. Fascinated by exotic animals, he finds a poisonous spider in a bazaar and takes it back to his apartment. It only takes him a moment to escape and reproduce, turning the place into a terrible trap into a canvas. The only option for Kaleb and his friends is to find the way out and survive.
Crossover that stings (strong) between Arachnophobia and Attack the Block, this confined survival which pleads against discrimination (when it weaves its social reach) while the pure series B with anxiogenic climate and virulent attacks invaded the building (respecting the imagery of the suburbs) in a crescendo tension, shows an undeniable know-how with special effects to the future and well-cut characters. An excellent web... spider!

- No way out!
A result of a 6K high resolution digital capture (with a Sony CineAlta Venice) finalized in 4K, this solid-encoding UHD Dolby Vision transfer cannot, however, defuse itself from the same video noise (so inherent to the source) that stains its HD counterpart on many underlighted planes. But by chance, the optimisation of contrasts coupled with the consolidation of compression allow it to better camouflage itself in the shadows.
Moreover, the perfection of the definition (even in very low light), the increased finesse of a pique already well sharped in 1080p (faces, stitches, clothes, decorations and big bebests), the calibration of a warmer hair from a colorimetric palette to the measured saturation, the amplified depth of unblocked blacks and the highly appreciable dosage of light sources enhanced with careful (such as terrarium lighting and flames), put serious in the atmosphere.
SON - The little beast that goes up 🎶
Despite a certain lack of power (the dynamics are too economical) and sometimes stifled dialogues when panic comes (but fortunately audible the rest of the time), this soundtrack DTS-HD MA 5.1 will make you shiver... Even more by activating a virtualization DSP whose 3D simulation, quite formidable in view of the events, will very generously demand a verticality far from being annodine.
The distribution of effects is cold in the back (cf. the swarming presence of spiders), the claustrophobic atmosphere of the places is well restored, the occasional pressure strokes of the LFE channel are striking and the score of Douglas Cavanna and Xavier Caux, where hip hop intertwines with discorded violins, passes through all channels.
CONCLUSION - Eight-legged Terror
As he climbs, climbs, to better inflict his painful bite on the fascisphere, this French-style film (ambitious and very first degree) signed by the young and promising director of the 93 Sébastien Vaniček (whose interview without concession is to be found Here) spreads an even more arachnean nightmare on 4K Ultra HD support (from A/V to sharp senses)! So, are you afraid of spiders?
Nyctalope like Riddick and with a very good hearing, I am ready to jump on physical editions and SVOD platforms. But if the quality isn't on the rendezvous, stop at the bite! #WeLovePhysicalMedia
