3,000 years ago, the world's largest sailors traveled the vast Pacific Ocean, discovering the countless islands of Oceania. But in the next millennium they stopped travelling. Vaiana, a reckless young girl, will then embark on a bold journey to accomplish the unfinished quest of her ancestors...
This initiatory journey anchored in Polynesian culture and led by a bold heroine, in addition to being a real treat for the eyes and ears, is an ecological adventure taken away that is on its way to a cascade of adventures.

A catchy UHD HDR10 presentation that improves the already « Perfect » HD transfer.
The definition is idyllic, the fabulous details are further increased, the dream colors are fuller of life (like the beautiful blue waters of the Pacific) and the HDR treatment is not half-measured! For proof, J-en wants the improvement of the spectacular contrasts (cf. the levels of blacks) and the intensity of light sources (solar lighting in the head).
SON – He who has ears to hear, hear!
Balanced and with a beautiful presence, the VO Dolby Atmos diffuses clear dialogues, immersive atmospheres (the sea, the wind, the lightnings), well spatialised effects (also in the heights) as well as a score (of the islands) and broad (entering) songs. But to avoid this soundtrack being too quiet, you will have to think about increasing the volume beyond your reference level. However, this « tip » will not allow the bass, pleasant moreover, to be supported as on the previous Blu-ray (an English track DTS-HD MA 7.1).
Enjoying almost as well the channels allocated to it (except the verticality of the sound), the VF is just less subtle.
CONCLUSION – Every good thing has an end...
If you feel the call from the ocean, dive into this exotic journey! And for larger immersion, opt for the 4K Ultra HD.
