For centuries, lycans and vampires have fought a merciless battle. But the two races are at the dawn of a new era because humans, who have recently discovered their existence, decide to stop their internal conflicts and engage together in the fight against what they consider to be plagues...
Particularly entertaining and rich in bloodshed, this fantastic B series to the stylized staging (the comic book-like framing) and special effects that fill the sight of it, only to entertain fans of the universe of the saga and/or pure action by multiplying at a frantic rhythm (not a single second of respite) shooting, beatings and pursuits all more spectacular than each other. The best part of the franchise?

The level of definition is higher (increased clarity of environments), the omnipresent depth of field is even more marked and the pique cisels each millimetre of the screen with greater acuity (hair strands, ice crystals, latex folds).
The steel blue palette, a little less monochromatic than in its elders, benefits from intensified primary (red blood, blue eyes), contrasts that are perfectly balanced enrich with sharper whites and deeper blacks without masking the details plunged into the dark (cf. the underground den of vampires), and light sources become brighter (reflections on aqueous and/or metal surfaces, ceiling lights, flash muzzle).
SON – Must be bleeding
Provided with a staggering dynamic, impressive sound effects, a clear surround extension (a maelström of shooting), a crystalline medium, generous verticality (e.g. debris falls and elevators, water drops, lead nitrate flying particles, visions, lycan attacks, etc.), a score of exceptional clarity and ultra-massive bass (the blast of a flame-thrower, the appearance of the « Super Lycan »), the Dolby Atmos mixing of the VO is a top sound of all time.
Very muscular on its scale, the VF(F) encoded in Dolby Digital 5.1 certainly does not lack power and spatial precision but cannot compete with its decoiffante conœur 3D.
CONCLUSION – Moon awakening?
As he starts a new cycle in the saga, this fourth opus where vampires and lycans scarve even more copiously on the screen takes advantage of a 4K Ultra HD demonstration for an unforgettable burglary session!
