WORK – In the skin of Nicolas Cage
Unsatisfied and confronted with financial ruin, actor Nick Cage accepts an offer of one million dollars to attend the birthday party of a rich admirer. But the stay takes a completely different turn when the CIA recruits him to investigate the criminal activities of his host...
Without any wickedness and full of self-derision, this meta action comedy mocks gently its « legend » who takes a clever pleasure in playing with his public image. But if she offers her actor a frantic comeback on the front of the stage, this funny and kidnapped farce where the replicas fly lack of madness to be connected to the excessive Nick Cage.

From a 4.5K shot and finalized in 4K (the DI), the image benefits from a real upgrade to Dolby Vision UHD even though some artistic choices (such as a moderate dynamic range) limit its range.
The increase in resolution is evident with clearer details (pores and/or hairs of the face, textures of the clothes), the reproduction of the colors becomes more consistent with increased heat and enriched primary (reds, blues and greens), and the transcription of the contrasts is a little bit more biting with more penetrating blacks and more authentic light sources (including reflections in daylight).
SON – Nicolas Fu**iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing Cage!
Little aggressive (the dynamics and bass move to the last straight line) and occasionally nuzzling the verticality of the sound (birds, debris falls, gunshots), this Dolby Atmos soundtrack fed primarily by dialogues (always clear and clear) uses a subtly integrated musical score and some well-positioned atmospheric atmospheres (the noises of the city).
Less natural and deep (see the rumbling of engines), the VF(F) is no less efficient with quality dubbing and effective spatialization.
CONCLUSION – Castor Troy pulls out guns?
Looking forward to the great role that will revive his career, Nick Cage has every interest in trusting the present 4K Ultra HD to repay his debts and exist again as a movie star!
