Little original and endowed with a generic staging, this melting-pot of the genre works (Edge of Tomorrow, Starship Troopers, World War, Alien and even The ThingHowever, it is still devilishly effective thanks to haletating adventures, a steady rhythm, action scenes full of special effects and creatures with very successful design.
And even if he takes refuge, of course, in clichés (the American family) and facilities (scripts), The Tomorrow War imposes itself as a good moment of spectacular entertainment.
IMAGE – Everyone fights, nobody gets away
Despite visible integrations and coarse synthetic decorations (in contrast to aliens) that can lead to a certain lack of stitching, this 4K image encoded in HDR10+ provides a palette of vibrant colours, vivid energy bursts (in the future) and chiaded contrasts for a readability of every moment.
SON – Don't touch her, you bitch!
Benefiting from an animated acoustic scene (the rear component has taf), this rather solid soundtrack revolves around a skilled dynamic, striking warrior effects, a grandiose score and omnipresent physical bass.
Even more enveloping, the Atmos runway does not fail to activate the airspace (the presence of the enemy, the helicopters, the destruction of the environments) during the key moments (urban guerrillas, the assault on the fortified oil platform, the « remains » Whitespikes).
However, in both VF and VO, dialogues are sometimes drowned (a mixing problem) during the most agitated passages.
CONCLUSION – I'll be back!
If it is unfortunately on a small screen (but in good conditions) that this summer blockbuster is offered to us, do not shake our pleasure and do not wait tomorrow to enjoy the show!
