WORK – Hunting returns home
The worst predators in the universe are now stronger and smarter than ever, they have grown genetically thanks to DNA from other species. When a young boy accidentally triggers their return to Earth, only a heteroclite crew of former soldiers and a professor of questionable science can prevent the extinction of the human race.
Even though it is carcut to the montage and sometimes borderlic, this regressive and irreverent B series revisits the myth in a radical way between ultra-violent action scenes and avalanche of good words. Decomplexed and fun, this « rereading » to the sweet scent of the 80s is therefore far from the intersideral bouse sold by some... Even if it is mischievously removed from the initial part of which she seems nostalgic.
IMAGE – Combat in the suburbs
An excellent upgrade UHD HDR10 where details are improved (cf. close-ups that are more refined) with more palpable textures (the CGIs gain in realism), where the colors are richer (blue and red) with shades absent from the HD master (the orange tone when opening in the jungle and the greenish shades in the laboratory), where the contrasts are even more modern with purer whites and more sustained blacks (the night outdoors are therefore more searched), and where the light sources shine with an intensity impossible to reach for Blu-ray (the sun, Predator technology, interior lighting). A striking presentation!
SON – Time for the joke rang!
Dynamic and immersive in devil (spaceization is exemplary), here is a fantastically exciting VO Atmos where the sound scene never fails to be large, where the effects of height are swarming (the crash of a ship, the atmosphere of the jungle, the blades of a helicopter, the Yautja running, exchanges of shots, etc.), and where the bass are ultra-physical. Even if less toning, the VF remains very good. A first-rate hearing experience!
CONCLUSION – The death of a legendary hunter?
While the Yautja make hats with the bones of All risks and that Baxley learns that her mother's pussy is classified as any audience (!), the awesome Shane Black is having fun demystifying the franchise in a hybrid opus that, coming out of the ass of a 4K Ultra HD salient, comes to us « increased » Hey!
