WORK – The hero can be in each
Eight years ago, Batman disappeared in the night: he who was a hero then became a fugitive. Accused of the death of Deputy Attorney Harvey Dent, the Black Knight sacrificed everything in the name of what he and Commissioner Gordon considered to be a noble cause. And their joint actions proved effective for a time as crime was eradicated in Gotham City thanks to Dent's arsenal of repressive laws. But it is a cat – with dark intentions – as cunning as it is a thief that will upset everything. Unless it is the arrival in Gotham of Bane, a masked terrorist, who intends to pull Bruce out of exile that he has imposed. Yet, even if the latter is ready to take back the cape and helmet of the Black Knight, Batman is perhaps more tall to face Bane...
This third and final part of the apocalyptic saga The Dark Knight, is a monumental epic fresco of a rare density that closes the adventures of the bat man in the most memorable way possible.
The treatment is of a darkness and a melancholy to no other like, the tense and spectacular staging of Christopher Nolan is a fascinating visual virtuosity, the characters worn by a royal casting are still as developed (the permanent introspection of Bruce Wayne / Batman) and the surprising new arrivals (especially Blake, Selina Kyle and Bane), the particularly dense intrigue that fits into the news with the economic crisis is rich in reversals and contains anthological situations (the destruction of the stadium), the action scenes are upsetting (the direct calm opening) and Hans Zimmer's score very inspired.
As visually impressive as it is emotionally terrifying, this long-awaited conclusion is a brilliant epic spectacle. Very great cinema!
