WORK – The wild horde of space
The Bad Batch squad, an elite troupe of experimental clones genetically different from those forming the great army of the Republic, finds its mark in a galaxy in full transformation after the War of the Clones.
At the top of 3D animation, this suite and spin-off of Clone Wars that continues to expand the universe Star Wars while interested in setting up the Empire (a period not developed so far), is certainly what Disney has produced best (to date) on the small screen for this franchise.
The adventures of the chased squad are as exciting as the great story that is written in the background (a galaxy in full political change), the fan-service that is perfectly dosed is wonderful, the characters (embematic sometimes) are charismatic and endearing, the melancholic-tragic dimension of the work surprises, the staging is fished (a good thing since the series is full of action) and the halving rhythm.

Presented in UHD Dolby Vision from a DI 4K, the image with the falsely silvery patina (a light grain of a beautiful finesse) does not lack ultra-detailed textures (details in the environments and models of the characters) nor richly saturated colors (the Hunter's red stripe, Cid's green skin) nor photo-realistic light games (blasters' shots, Tipoca's luminous corridors on Kamino). Apart from the presence of a bit of aliasing and small diet drops on the side of compression (a handful of colour banding), it is superb!
SON – The Empire's Purposes
Obviously based on the sound design of the rich catalogue Star Wars, this immersive soundtrack (there is no shortage of atmospheres) which uses a constant rear presence and takes advantage of the symphony of the score signed Kevin Kiner, has a high frontal precision as well as a certain mastery of the directivity of its effects (such as the passages of flying gear). But Disney forces, dynamics and bass are somewhat on hold.
CONCLUSION – All behind « Rambo the clone » Hey!
Navigating a galaxy in the midst of chaos, the former Clone Force 99, which runs missions under radar while the dictatorship of Emperor Palpatine is in the process of settling down, should be greatly appreciated by several generations of fans of the saga... Even more so as she embarks on a latest generation spacecraft designed by Disney+ !
