WORK – You're poking or ripping
After a spectacular burglary in Antwerp, Frankie is in possession of an extraordinary diamond. Of course, this stone attracts all lusts. Boris, a ruthless villain, decides to exploit Frankie's penchant for gambling by ambushing a bookmaker...
Key work of Guy Ritchie's filmography, Snatch is a well off-the-shelf English polar with a tape-in-the-eye staging, characters more barred than each other, a well-tangled, well-tangled intrigue, an inflated cast of talent and a decomplexed humour. Irresistibly funny and wildly fun, this cult movie of « false » gangsters (small hits what) didn't steal his reputation!
IMAGE – « Fashion is out of fashion, style never »
Voluntaryly sober and wretched to stick to the universe « cracra » of the English mafia, the photograph hardly lends itself to a rendering « pop » even though this new 4K master is excellent.
The piqué is more sharp than in HD (the texture of faces, tattoos, costumes and decors gain in finesse), the mainly glaucous colours (greenish and yellowish) are more realistic and contain more verva (higher primers), the contrasts are more controlled with stronger blacks and more intense whites (no excesses), the light sources are bolder (the brilliance of the diamond, the burning of fire) and the grain 35 mm, perfectly rendered, proves to be more refined.
SON – The dog's dog poic!
Despite blows that may not have any impact (a « default » This is a soundtrack, Dolby Atmos, which is highly raised and effectively spatialised, and is illustrated by an acoustic performance rich in style!
The dynamics are thundering, the multichannel sound effects accompanying the madness of the assembly are also « Other » they gravitate on all sides (height scene included with for example the rain coming to hit the roof of cars), the tricky dialogues are always clear, the LFE channel has a lot of biting and exquisite BO is ample at wish.
Less enveloping and shyer (without being really), the VF mainly loses the diversity of British VO accents... Much of the soul of the film in short.
CONCLUSION – So British isn't it?
In contrast to « Nickel feet » Who populate the city of London, the fans of Guy Ritchie have a chance to touch the jackpot by taking the present Ultra HD Blu-ray!
Nyctalope like Riddick and with a very good hearing, I am ready to jump on physical editions and SVOD platforms. But if the quality isn't on the rendezvous, stop at the bite! #WeLovePhysicalMedia
