WORK – The dark part of the motherland
When Bond's last mission goes wrong, several undercover agents find themselves exposed all over the world. MI6 is under attack, and M is obliged to relocate the Agency. These events shake his authority, and it is challenged by Mallory, the new president of the ISC, the intelligence and security committee. MI6 is now facing a dual threat, both internal and external. There is only one trusted ally left to M: Bond. More than ever, 007 will have to act in the shadows. With the help of Eve, a field agent, he embarks on the track of the mysterious Silva, whose cost he must identify the secret and deadly objective.
This 23rd part of the adventures of 007, which celebrates for the occasion its 50 years of cinema, is a very big cru that revives by little touches a certain identity « Bondian » in the form of a tribute while bringing a dramatic depth absent from the saga until then.
The staging is a dazzling beauty, the generic is superb, intimate intrigue (far from the international conspiracies of the other opus) and dramatic (it revolves around the past life of M and will offer James Bond, considered an obsolete agent in today's world, a test of his loyalty to his superior superior) is captivating, the action scenes are spectacular and the actors rightly camp well-developed characters (whether it be Daniel Craig's twilight Bond or the M both strong and fragile by Judi Dench), especially the terrifying and vicious sarcastic (interpreted by Javier Bardem magistral) which is of surprising inner complexity (it is not without mentioning the Joker of The Dark Knight).
Particularly sharp and of unprecedented gravity, Skyfall managed to resurrect the famous British spy imagined by novelist Ian Fleming (you will understand why during the session) and imposed himself as the best James Bond right ahead Casino Royale. A real slap!
