WORK – SAS McClane to report!
A member of the Special Air Service, Tom Buckingham, is trying to save 400 hostages held by war criminals in the Channel Tunnel.
Adapted from a novel by British author Andy McNab (SAS: Red Notice), this thriller of action, which does not touch on violence or on the enlivened scenes (the shootings and other face-to-face are well choreographed), manages to establish a good suspense despite some predictability on the last straight line. It is certainly not Crystal TrapBut the show is here... Like blood!

With a higher resolution allowing the details a little high degree of sharpness (the walls of the tunnel, the injuries on the bodies and faces), an expanded colorimetric space (primary ones, especially the green colour, are even more saturated), contrasts clearly reinforced without the dark tunnels being too strong (superbate of the blacks) and extremely dazzling light sources (the headlights of the intervention vehicles, lighting of the passenger train, lamps mounted on the firearms), this UHD transfer encoded in HDR10+ is visually very impressive... Even if there may be a slight resurgence of video noise in some isolated planes.
SON – All cover!
A hijacking of the muscular train where the dynamics are explosive, the destructive pyrotechnic effects (the large calibres are of exit), the inflamed surround scene (the trajectory of the various projectiles, the overflight of the helicopters) and the painful basses (even if it would have been possible for the LFE channel of « growl » even stronger). And in the middle of all this KO, dialogues are always easy to follow.
CONCLUSION – Is there a mercenary on the train?
Effective action film that calls for a franchise (many novels with Tom Buckingham can be transposed on the big screen), SAS: Rise of the Black Swan is even more entertaining in 4K Ultra HD; its technical performances being destined to shine on the support!
