WORK – Do you know them? They didn't ride!
Chaos prevails throughout the country, from the White House to the most remote small towns. Our four killers now face new races of zombies that have evolved in ten years and a handful of human survivors. But these are the conflicts peculiar to this « family » improvised that remain the most difficult to manage...
Faithful to her elder (we take the same ones and start again), this insolent horrific comedy that never takes itself seriously is populated by crazy characters (a special mention to the blond with a bird's brain), dotted with gore and spectacular action scenes, rhythmized by politically incorrect humour and shielded by references to pop culture. It's a good breakout for families.
IMAGE – It's fresh, zombie!
A striking scale that puts a real blow of peps to Blu-ray images.
With a higher clarity and a definition of reinforced concrete, it displays much better-solved details (faces, clothes, environments), a colorimetric palette that is otherwise deeper (greenness, shoes from Elvis, colors from the Jungle Room) and realistic (carnation), distinctly reinforced contrasts (see the additional depth brought to blacks) and much more intense light sources (headlights, neon, explosion and reflections on a handgun).
And not to spoil anything, this 4K Ultra HD eliminates the video noise (rare but present by location) of its HD counterpart. Digital slamming.
SON – A good double dose?
More extravagant than the VF thanks to a better spatial presence but not as powerful because of lower bass (which remain however solid), the VO DTS:X abounds with effects/ambiences of all kinds (the best being those related to zombies) that circulate from one speaker to another with a lot of fluidity.
The height scene is not forgotten with, among other joyous things, the fall of a tower, a fireworks, the « figure » a monster truck and throwing objects.
Immersive and intense (good dynamic management), this excellent soundtrack also shows a welcome subtlety (dialogues).
CONCLUSION – On the Road Again
Back in this convincing suite, our shock quartet challenges the armed death of an IMAX-certified Ultra HD Blu-ray!
