WORK – Stuck between the living and the dead
Suspended by a sheriff and his son, a gang of criminals is trapped in a gas station. Completely isolated from the rest of the world, the small group must face the attacks of the "Reeker", a mysterious killer with supernatural powers...
Even more inept than his already unglorious predecessor, this suite where the mystery « he made the trunk » Miss everything she does... The actors are at the pick-up, the laborious rhythm, the atrocious staging, the sluggish murders and the mix of humor and dysfunctional horror as possible. And what about the gas mask killer? Even more fantomatic when it's the only interest of this thing (having come into being we don't know how too much)!
IMAGE – Lost in the wilderness; Again!
This UHD HDR10 transfer is even more complicated « improve » (which it grows) a photograph that only asked to stay as it was... That is, « Date » and peasy.
The 35 mm silver texture is only found in the sky where the grain is completely frozen, the faces of the actors suffer from a pushed anti-wrinkle (it is very visible in broad daylight) and the pique, little pointy base, artificially reinforced.
So yes, the deliberately washed colors are now warmer, the contrasts are more sustained (blacks are otherwise darker) and the light sources are brighter (the light sign, the explosions in derogatory CGI), but the use of some fireworks (DNR + EE) will make the stay so bad!
SON – The noise of « the Reaper » bis
If the painful effects use a good dynamic to hurt, this soundtrack with clear voices is unfortunately too timid in lows (they are painless) and in ambiences (unhealthy but not widespread) to surprise the listener who would still need it.
CONCLUSION – You shouldn't have met there!
Even more distressing, this second trip into the Californian desert is to die of boredom... Especially as the infrastructure of the place (a 4K Ultra HD refitted at the speed) is only interesting from the outside!
