Despite some still unstable plans (squakes) and a lot of dust on the master, this UHD transfer from the 2018 4K restoration respects the granular texture of the photograph (no DNR), delivers a high level of detail (without yielding to any artificial accentuation), restores deliberately hypersaturated colors (orange skys, steel blues) and benefits from extremely pushed contrasts (more sliced than before) (abyssal blacks and harshly bright whites).
But without the presence of WCG and HDR technologies, the differences with the Blu-ray (including the French edition in July 2019) are so small that unlike the monstrous boar, they will go unnoticed for most spectators (the compression HEVC contributes to a better breath of the 35 mm skate).
In the Outback, no one will hear you scream
For sure dated but particularly lively, mixing 5.1 uses countless off-the-shelf effects and crazi atmospheres to plunge us into the heart of the bush's desolate regions. Spaceization is never artificial, the rear enclosures are in the fire of action, the basses have a resumption and the voices are generally clear (except 2-3 dialogues in retreat).
