Road movie romantico-tragic very trendy to flamboyant characters and dreamy aesthetics, this Sailor and Lula modern times evokes police brutality over the African-American community as well as racial inequalities without ever losing sight of the intense love story being played. Haletante, this hunt that manifests a true filmmaker's gaze (the clipper Melina Matsoukas) touches as much by her sincerity as by the importance of her story.
