WORK – Trap on the high seas
While they are transferred from the Philippines to South Korea by a cargo ship, several dangerous criminals provoke a violent riot until an unidentified monster comes out of his sleep...
Concentrated with action and non-stop gore, this horrific survival in confined space orchestra at a frantic rhythm a massacre game decomplexed to unbridled graphic violence. And executed with application despite a done scenario (when the feast is too greedy the watch overdose), this true butchery pours with delight of hectolitres of blood so that emerges from its tripes the splatter movie devoid of cynicism that it is. Prepare for the carnage!
IMAGE – Embark on the Titan Frontier
Apart from some night plans outside the boat where the compression is chahutted (a little colour banding in the darkest corners), there is not much to blame for this transfer 1080p that returns as faithfully as possible the peaty photograph (a greenish yellow tint) and its deliberately pronounced numerical noise.
The level of detail is very good (courses, injuries), the precision of the constant frame and the beautifully saturated colors. And if the contrasts are a little flat by nature, the levels of black remain deep enough and the intensity of the light sources striking enough that the rendering is never milky.
SON – Violence without discrimination
Cadenced by a threatening score and frightening skeletal cracks, this soundtrack as enveloping (the sounds of the ocean and the buzzing of the propelling apparatus in the background) as dynamic (see the appearances of the « Frankenstein monster »Tap hard!
The effects are striking at will, the surround scene is hyperactive (salves of machine guns, projectiles ricoching on metal walls), the LFE channel expresses itself with a lot of weight (the blows carried, explosions) and dialogues, which can wander around the spectator (in VO only) when the camera favors the out-of-field, are transmitted with the utmost clarity.
For more authenticity, the Korean track is to be preferred on the VF (even if the mixing remains little or no unchanged) and its low cost dubbing (which nevertheless has the merit of existing).
CONCLUSION – Last boat for Busan
Far from the cruise, this bloody crossing aboard the « flatterboat » offers tripaille enthusiasts to take off with bursts of daos and other gorish activities that the present edition Blu-ray, technically in the hair and sip of bonuses, erects as a work of art!
Nyctalope like Riddick and with a very good hearing, I am ready to jump on physical editions and SVOD platforms. But if the quality isn't on the rendezvous, stop at the bite! #WeLovePhysicalMedia

I had noticed it in a feast but my program was unfortunately too busy. I'll have to go through the catch-up shot.
