Predators, the masters of a distant planet?

WORK – They're hunting again.

A lonely mercenary, Royce reluctantly takes the lead of a group of elite warriors parachuted on an unknown planet. They will soon realize that they were gathered to serve as game. These « predators » Humans are now being hunted by a new generation of Predators. In this ruthless confrontation of absolute killers, who will be the prey? Who will be the predator?

Between remake, sequel and homage dotted with references both aesthetics, screenwriters and musicals to the first episode of the saga (but also to the Revelation Now, Scarface and the work of Akira Kurosawa!), Predators is a fantasticly entertaining survival where hard-to-cooked led by a credible Adrien Body warrior bodybuilder will serve as game in a beautiful wild jungle to new Predators who have mouths. The realization is effective, the few scenes of action are incisive and violent, the first half hour is full of suspense, the special effects are overall of a good level (except for an explosion in fact) and it is with an undisclosed pleasure that we plunge into the universe (a little more developed in this episode) of our favorite dreadlock hunters.

However, this Predators It is not at the height of the original film or its sequel, the fault of a lack of action and rhythm, of some interesting ideas but little dug (survivor and civil war between clans) and of not sufficiently developed characters (although dialogues are not lacking). Over both AVP but less than the old films Predator, this third opus does not demerit yet and remains an entertaining B series that pays a very nice tribute to the first episode. And then, it must be recognized that the Predators of the film are particularly stylized!
