WORK – Under enemy fire
An elite Navy SEALs team, on a secret mission to transport a prisoner out of a CIA island prison, is trapped when insurgents who also want this prisoner attack them...
Integrally captured in (false) plane-sequence, this seat film with certain technical know-how is a veneer actuator that has ammunition and pecs. Its device makes sense (the camera performs a millimetre ballet that carefully handles the changes of views), its real-time narrative generates tension (particularly palpable) and its casting is not there for « thread beads » (Imposing Scott Adkins never had time to blow). Between shootings, explosions, stabbing or fighting with bare hands, the action fan will certainly have for his money.
IMAGE – On the battlefield
Apart from the furtive presence of colour banding, this solid 1080p transfer delivers images (resulting from a digital capture) of a beautiful sharpness and great clarity while the camera stopped moving more or less frantically on the base.
The details work efficiently, the colors express realistically (the greyness of the former Soviet block) and the contrasts appear to be well supported.
SON – And I hear the bullets whistle
Scaffolded for « kick ass », this muscular and active soundtrack exploits the slightest corner of the acoustic space as soon as the attack (which will cease only at the very end) occurs.
All speakers are at the « party », the effects sound with force (the dynamics are there), the explosions do not lack weight (the LFE channel has punch) and the dialogues remain audible despite the surrounding pyrotechnic chaos.
A little less fished, however, the most frontal VF(F) does not detract.
CONCLUSION – High-risk escape
Wounded by rebels ready to fight it, this high-voltage de-filtration mission is an adrenaline shot that the present Blu-ray passes with great force!
