WORK – Termina-predator!
An I.A. (Artificial Intelligence) company is partnering with a CIA agent to illegally test autonomous military robots in the jungle capable of managing hostage-taking and eliminating terrorists. Problem: six doctors, on humanitarian missions, witness the operation and witness the massacre of an entire village. They in turn become the target of machines...
Even if much too long for his own good (while his speech remains simplistic), this series B bourrine anticipation that transpires passion for the survival of action (with Predator and the universe of robotics (inspired by Chappie and Terminator), make the most of its budget more than modest (Austral $1.6 million out of the director's pocket). Driven by credible robots that a serious staging follows, this hunt in the rather radical jungle (women and children are not spared) is effective without being well rhythmic.

Captured in 6K and 8K, images from a DI 4K find in this very high-voltage UHD HDR10 transfer a weight ally.
Sumptuous except for a handful of stock-shots, terrible in comparison since drawn from files in low resolution, they are illustrated by realistic lighting as possible (see the reflections on the machines), a permanent impression of relief, a sharp bite like a blade (everything is accurate), a breath-taking depth of field, fantastic contrasts (black ink and pure whites), clarity of all moments and colors « Green » (environments are green) that bathe the surroundings of a breathtaking tropical atmosphere.
SON – Silence, the robot is hunting!
Recognized as DTS-HD MA 5.1 by my system, the Auro-3D soundtrack sends heavy... Especially since with a virtualization DSP (to be activated without hesitation), many information (less by selecting the DTS-HD MA soundtrack) is released from heights such as the presence of wildlife, debris falls, the rustling of trees or the sounds heard by robots during passages in subjective vision.
There is no lack of confidence in the dynamics, dialogues are never taken in default (even when they leave the front stage), all the speakers are used, the atmospheres (of nature) and the effects (pyrotechnics) are on all sides, the score enjoys a maximum opening and the LFE channel is not there for holidays.
CONCLUSION – Should we fear the machines?
With assets to be argued, this 4K Ultra HD that seems determined to accomplish its mission proves to be more reliable than the autonomous military robots sent to Southeast Asia!
