WORK - Fear over the city
Eleanor, a young investigator with a heavy past, is called at the scene of a terrible mass crime. The police and the FBI are launching an unprecedented manhunt, but in the face of the constantly unpredictable modus operandi of the murderer, the investigation is trampling. Eleanor, on the other hand, is becoming more and more involved in the case and realizes that her own inner demons can help him identify the spirit of this singular killer...
Under his classical urban polar airs, Misanthrøpe Of silver Damián Szifron paints the vitriol of contemporary America in parallel with its intrigue police. The definition is excellent (see the precision of the backgrounds in the city as well as in the countryside), the details are scraped (faces, furniture, costumes), the colorimetric palette drawing slightly towards beige is admirably saturated and the contrasts are superb. In fact, the blacks are dense without being blocked and the whites immaculate (the snow).
But if compression is competent, it relaxes in the last minutes with the appearance of a little tingling (in three planes « difficult » because it allows a strong digital grain to shine).
SON - Social Phobie
Similar to listening and very balanced, these two audio tracks encoded in DTS-HD MA 7.1 show a good dynamic despite a low recording level (-12dB vis-à-vis the reference level).
