WORK – Doc's spleen
Mikael is a night doctor. He treats patients in difficult neighbourhoods, but also those that nobody wants to see: drug addicts. Shooted between his wife and his mistress, led by his cousin pharmacist in a dangerous trafficking of false prescriptions from Subutex, his life is a chaos. Mikael no longer had the choice: tonight he must take his destiny in hand.
Black as night and despair, this urban drama without a possible outcome is nevertheless deeply human. Fevery and in permanent urgency, he staged a paumé hero (Vincent Macaigne is magisterial) who will do his purgatory in the heart of an insomniaque Paris populated by lost souls. Are you ready to put your life back in order or are you going back in your way?
IMAGE – In the darkness of the night
Magnified by a night photography of all beauty, the peasy streets of the east of Paris are perfectly defined and enjoy a beautiful granular texture.
Compression is solid, details « Infestation » the wide frame, the colors are realistic as desired and the contrasts ensure a constant readability.
SON – Saturday night fever
Immersive and realistic, this multichannel soundtrack that abounds with outdoor atmospheres (the city of Paris) « breathing ») use all the channels that were prescribed to him to let us into the night!
Dynamics are not lacking (cf. birthday evening), spatialization is natural, the score illustrates a true descent to the underworld and the voices are strongly exuded by the power plant.
