WORK – The Great Bad Cools
After a lifetime of legendary robberies, notorious criminals Mr. Wolf, Mr. Snake, Mr. Piranha, Mr. Shark and Mrs. Tarantula are finally captured. To avoid a prison sentence, outlaw animals must succeed in their greatest scam: becoming model citizens. Under the supervision of their mentor, Professor Marmelade, the band undertook to make the world believe that she was becoming honest.
Dynamized by its highly expressive cartoon graphics (which mixes 2D traits and 3D animation) and its wildly devastating energy, this Quentin Tarantino for children (there is Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction in this loot) is a police comedy to the Ocean populated by tender animals and galvanizing action scenes. Funny, moving and twisting the neck to prejudice, this robbery is executed in the rules of art!

Served by solid encoding as a rock, this HDR10 UHD transfer stands out from its 1080p CSD counterpart by the presence of WCG and HDR technologies.
For if it only has a hint of extra sharpness to offer (slightly visible on animal fur and environments), the details being not much thinner than in HD (it must be said that the typed aesthetic 70s is rather soft), the colors (discreetly amber) much deeper (reds, blues, greens), firmer contrasts (dense blacks and shiny whites) and the light sources with increased punch (lights of the sun, lighting of evenings), make it a partner of choice to support our antihero gang.
SON – ♪ You Know I ♫
Very committed spatially (road traffic, crowds during public events), the VO Dolby Atmos is an excellent soundtrack with flawless clarity that delivers an impressive dynamic and surprisingly considerable basses (the spin of engines, the horde of pigs from India).
The dialogues are clear, the effects/ambiences unfold in all directions (including height, especially with the resonances of Professor Marmelade's speech and the aerial passages of a helicopter) and funky-jazz music flies with harmonious intensity.
Less enterprising and losing in subtlety, the VF(Q) gets caught in the bag (the dubbing of Pierre Niney and Alice Belaïdi is missing) despite a certain development.
CONCLUSION – The temptation of good?
Led by « Arsène Loupin », the canid prince of the burglary, this pretty animated surprise with maximum efficiency is on the way to redemption under the control of a 4K Ultra HD that puts heart to work!
