WORK – Women's Twilight
At the PJ, each investigator falls one day or another on a crime that he cannot solve and that haunts him. For Yohan, it's Clara's murder. The interrogations followed each other, there was no shortage of suspects, and Yohan's doubts continued to grow. Only one thing is certain, the crime took place on the night of 12.
By taking over an unsolved case, this realistic (and not « classic ») which paints the portrait of broken cops (Bastien Bouillon and Bouli Lanners each won a César) by a femicide turning into obsessive, analysis with lucidity the toxic masculinity and makes a strong plea against violence against women. Like his characters, difficult not to be haunted by Night of the 12th !

In the changing climate of mountainous landscapes coming « illuminate » The ambient greyness of the industrial valley of Grenoble, this HD transfer delivers a magnificent silky photograph that almost nothing (some compressive traces on a small handful of planes) alters.
The definition is excellent, even during the many nocturnal sequences, the fine details as well as the overwhelming textures of realism are displayed with a precision of every moment (the clothes, the beard of Marceau, the natural decorations), the colorimetric palette with natural hues is saturated as it should be, the marked contrasts are illustrated by blacks that do not fade and the lights, naturalistic day and artificial night, expose with infinite finesse.
SON – Angel in the Night
Frontal by its subject but willing to question the rear scene when broadcasting discreet atmospheres, this soundtrack sleek « pigmented » by a very elegant score (and that goes well through the five speakers) restores with the utmost care dialogues (extremely precise) whose clarity is never taken in default.
CONCLUSION – Hell is men
In our societies still influenced by patriarchal ideology where women « Burn » in the darkness of the night, this salutary work that triumphed over Caesars 2023 winning six awards is not to be missed under any pretext. Did you miss the movie? Don't panic, another chance with you with this Blu-ray!
