WORK – Electric love
Lindy is a beautiful, humorous woman with a painful secret. Due to a rare neurological disorder, she experiences rabies and murder impulses that can only be controlled when she is shocked with an electrode device. Unable to find love and its place in this world, she finally gives her trust to a man whose she falls in deep love before finding him murdered. With her heart completely broken and in black anger, she gives herself the mission to avenge the murder of this man while being prosecuted by the police as the main suspect of the crime.
Driven by a splendid Kate Beckinsale who dies the screen, this hybrid crossing between Hypertension and Atomic Blonde is a feminist revenge film as puzzled in its humour as in its action. And if he doesn't always convince, looking for his style without ever really finding him, this staggered entertainment is followed without displeasure.
IMAGE – Are we getting all red?
Sublimated by a definition with a scalar and striking contrasts (night scenes are more elegant), these images that impose by their level of precision (the HD transfer is softer) manage the HDR technology extremely well... A boon in view of photography (more warm than in CSD) frequently flashy where the tonalities are vibrating at will (the blues are energetic and the reds incendiary) and the light sources well faring (see the beams of light in the tripot of clandestine fighting). However, compression happens to be seen (a handful of colour banding).
SON – There's electricity in the air!
With good spatial management, this soundtrack, illustrated by a 7.1 mix, offers us a sound show of every moment. Immersion is optimal, the dynamic is an efficiency never denied, the effects that play it « big sound » Do not miss impact and the score sends the sauce. However, with the exception of two or three passages where it makes itself felt badly, the LFE channel is only too rarely used.
CONCLUSION – Is there no juice?
If she only exploits her potential on the surface, this action comedy that reflects too much of her impulses lets her anger explode in 4K Ultra HD!
