Without Bruce Willis at the casting, we would never have talked about this DTV, but the chance of the calendar combined with a very sad new fact that we could not miss. In fact, on March 30, Bruce Willis' family publicly announced the retirement of the actor, diagnosed aphasic, which would affect his ability to speak, write and understand a language, both oral and written. An upheaval for him and his family, of course, but also for his fans around the world, including the question of « But why is he playing in all these turnips? ») just found a very sad answer.

The actor, spotted by the series Moonlight before being starred by the best action film of the 1980s (Crystal Trap, what else?), chained cult films (The Last Samaritan, Hudson Hawk, Pulp Fiction), masterpieces (The Wood of Vanities, Army of the 12 monkeys, Sixth Sense, Unbreakable), the best action film of the 1990s (A Day in Hell, what else?) and the guilty pleasures (58 minutes to live, Armageddon, My neighbor the killer), making us (almost) forget the Jackal and others Mercury Code memory.
But, since 2012 and despite some notable exceptions (the burgundy and fun Death Wish, Glass or Brooklyn Affairs), our favorite John McClane aligns the DTV without the sou, obscure productions worthy of a Steven Seagal where the appearance of his trouble with his corner smile only rarely exceeded the 20 minutes on screen. Precious Cargo, Acts of Violence, 10 Minutes Gone, Trauma Center, Hard Kill, interchangeable titles surfing on the past successes of their Guest, placarded in « Gondola head » on the posters to better bait the barge.
Among his last « harm », Cosmic Sin was gratified only a few years ago by a Razzie Awards (before the organizers flatly apologize and cancel the « prices » not aware of the name's state of health). Note that among the palanque of these telefilms still hide some good little fuss made by Steven C. Miller: Extraction, Marauders and First Kill, honest b-series with a certain sense of putting in images despite wild scenarios.
Yippee Ki-Yay, Bruce!
We can't say the same about this. Fortress (or Fatal Game from home), « put into images » (it's a great word) by James Cullen Bressack, a guilty zedard Survive the Game (Survival game) already with a sick Bruce Willis and a Beyond the Law with Steven Seagal.
A series script b (written by Emile Hirsch: yes, yes, the actor of Speed Racer and Into the Wild) where a group of criminals enter a colony of former CIA agents in search of one of them, Bressack could have made it an efficient little peloch, without pretension as one knew in the 80s. No, the director flashes with it and throws his excrement on our face (yes, the image is a bit dirty, I imagine it)!
The famous colony looks like a camping at the bottom of the Creuse and its director, botoxed to death, seems to be right out of a shooting Brazzers (the amateurs will enjoy it). The rest of the casting is at the same time, old TV series glories (Jesse Desperate Housewives Metcalfe, Chad Michael The Scott Brothers Murray) with Shannen at its peak Beverly Hills Doherty in the role of a... general! All this beautiful world make them crates, wave in all directions around poor Bruce Willis, totally destitute, weakened, spending the little time on the screen sitting, reciting painfully without any conviction of inept dialogues.

The realization pours into the craziest amateurism, a Z series that does not even assume its cheap side, wants to fill its sight but only dismays during its painful hour and a half.
At the end, the end clearly announces a sequel, probably shot in the footsteps in the sweet name of Fortress 2: Snipers Eye. Out of respect for our dear actor, I can only advise you to stand down on this thing whose artistic will is proportional to the sum of the talents committed: that is to say no!
