WORK – The Walking Dead Intimistic version!
In the near future... Hit by a terrible pandemic, the planet is now covered by hordes of bloodthirsty infections. Ann, an expert on survival in a hostile environment, is among those who escaped the first wave. After losing all her loved ones, she now travels alone in a world that is back to the wild, seeking to avoid contact with both the infected and the last survivors. But a new encounter will upset the little control left.
Very far from the blockbuster to the World War Z sold by certain visuals, Here Alone is a voluntary survivor who promotes drama (how to overcome grief in a devastated world?) to horror (because zombies are rare). And led by a surprising Lucy Walters, he manages to reconcile dramatic tension with positive emotions through a well-built scenario and wildly human characters. A promising first feature film!
IMAGE – Mud cover
Aborted by a strawberry compression coming « bitch » The darkest scenes (from tingling and colour banding), this HD transfer to the sorry aspect is no less connected with its subject.
The colors and contrasts are therefore intentionally dull and the precise stitch just what it takes. A modest beauty with modest charm unfortunately altered by the lack of care given to the compressive codec.
SON – Silence is golden
Well spatialized even if reserved, this is a soundtrack with quiet immersivity where the atmospheres of nature pose the setting and where the screams of the infected cast the tranquillity of the places.
Because of a rather poor dubbing, the VF is much less conclusive than the VO.
CONCLUSION – How far will you go for your survival?
More than just a zombie flick, this work unacclaimed at the Tribeca Film Festival has unfortunately been contaminated by a Blu-ray too fragile!
Nyctalope like Riddick and with a very good hearing, I am ready to jump on physical editions and SVOD platforms. But if the quality isn't on the rendezvous, stop at the bite! #WeLovePhysicalMedia

Yes, a "good" human adventure with a very pronounced "survival" accent. Too bad the transfer is done with the petons!
