WORK - The Death Concert

After a disastrous tour, the punk rock band The Ain accepts to give a last concert at the bottom of Oregon, to finally end up at the mercy of a particularly violent skinhead gang.

Glaucic atmosphere, anxiogenic suspense and eruptions of cold violence serve as drugs for this radical survival which, not content to play with our nerves, pins neo-Nazism in a game of massacres particularly dry and brutal endured by attaching anti-heroes (the regrettably Anton Yelchin and nonchalante Imogen Poots). Some kind of teen movie punch where Jeremy Saulnier lead his Assault Effectively!

« Now gentlemen and ladies. Whatever you know or did... is no longer my concern. But let's be clear... this won't end well. »

IMAGE - Close the door

From the same source material (a DI 2K) as the Blu-ray edited by M6 Video on September 07, 2016, this UHD Dolby Vision transfer with high bitrate (a measured average of 76.3 Mb/s) pushes sliders a little further than its excellent counterpart 1080p while retaining the blafard aspect of photography (a digital capture never clean) signed Sean Porter.

The definition does not suffer from any drop in diet, the details gain in finesse (pores and/or wrinkles of the face, sweat, weaving of clothes, graffiti, craws of places, woodwork), the austere colorimetric palette benefits from richer hues (including reds and greens) and slightly warmer carnation, the contrasts that are better shaped deliver more robust blacks for a darker to greater legibility and light sources (an average luminance of 200 cd/m2), truly bright in places (neons reach 1591 nits), display with a completely different realism (cf. lighting of the scene).

Green Room

- Nazi punks, fuck off! 🎶

Rhythmed by the grim synthetic beaches of Brooke Blair and Will Blair, this soundtrack well balanced and very precise in the placement of its effects (the concert in the background, the agitation of the audience) provides a vehement dynamic (live music seems captured live), clear voices, a busy rear scene (the atmospheres are perfectly captured) and deep bass (the stage performances, the shots).

CONCLUSION - No one will get out!

While he drops the dogs so that the green wood flight between neo-punks and neo-Nazis turns into the horror rock ‘n的 roll, this badly high and ultra-square genre cinema develops a dread movement enhanced on 4K Ultra HD support (the A/V performances are not there to laugh)!

Nyctalope like Riddick and with a very good hearing, I am ready to jump on physical editions and SVOD platforms. But if the quality isn't on the rendezvous, stop at the bite! #WeLovePhysicalMedia
