WORK – The clone war
Learning that she only has a few weeks to live, Sarah decides to be cloned to avoid the pain of her loss to her loved ones. But two years later, here she is in remission, with a replica that stole her life and does not intend to return it to her. The law does not allow the co-existence of the original and the copy, a mortal duel is organized...
Driven by Karen Gillan's double interpretation, this pliers-without-laughs moral fable whose frosted bite of the mood (macabre à vire) destabilizes as much as the practice of cloning, imposes like anti-spectacular SF where the absurdity of the story serves a formidable dystopic satire. In fact, this real curiosity is to be discovered before you die!
IMAGE – Face yourself
Overall neat (apart from a little pixelization on a few backgrounds immersed in darkness) and celebrating the (beautiful) heat-free photograph, this 1080p transfer displays an unattainable definition, precise details, a cold colorimetric palette and very well balanced contrasts (the darkest scenes are perfectly legible).
SON – I Will Survive
Using malinous spatialisation, where the effects of ambience bring to bear the rear scene as soon as narration requires it (the course of hip-hop, the walk in the forest), this multichannel soundtrack encoded in DTS-HD MA 5.1 returns above all the least dialogue (the dubbing of the VF is much less natural) with great clarity. From the point of view of the subject, it is very pleasant to see that the dynamics do not lack fishing and the LFE channel of fergue.
CONCLUSION – Fighting Yourself
In a completely dehumanized society where the situations of a staggering darkness are counterbalanced by Sarah's grinning humour, the good A/V performances of this Blu-ray will help her wake up from her existential torpor!
