WORK – The conspiracy theory is being played online
Connor, a genius hacker, discovers Cicada 3301, a mysterious online treasure hunt led by a secret organization. Supported by an art expert and a librarian, Connor rushed into a search for clues in the real world to get hold of the treasure. But he is not alone: dangerous NSA agents, also on Cicada's track, are pursuing Connor.
Sometimes cool but too often heavy (visual gags on NSA agents), this humorous thriller 2.0 led by playful actors is regularly lost in the detours of a risky scenario. It doesn't stop that this crazy film object stays pleasant at intervals!

Since this edition only features the Ultra HD Blu-ray disc, comparison with its HD counterpart is impossible. However, it is obvious that this HDR10+ UHD transfer is very attractive despite the random rise of a slight noise due to the increase of ISO.
Slashing and very contrasting, these bright images at the possible level present an excellent level of detail (the close-ups are surgical) whose precision of the least corner of the wide screen is no doubt as to the 4K nature of the intermediate master.
And if they culminate in the colourful evening in London, a real enchantment for the eyes, it is indeed throughout the session that it is possible to enjoy a well saturated colorimetric palette, vigorous blacks, bright whites (too often) and really expressive lighting.
SON – Should we believe in this story?
Sufficiently dynamic and exploiting the rear scene during very precise moments (such as the opening scene and the slow-mo), this soundtrack that gives a good part to the dialogues, delivered with intelligibility, however, does not fail to broadcast here some environmental atmospheres.
CONCLUSION – Who's behind Cicada 3301?
Inspired by the biggest internet riddle, this mysterious and nicely stupid online treasure hunt is to follow in 4K Ultra HD!
