WORK – Move-house at burial
On a remote island, a healing sociopath finds himself facing the mercenaries responsible for the death of his brother...
If he goes straight to the essential, leans on the singular personality of his « hero » (not too bad camped by the Eastwood son) and can count on the amused presence of a Mel Gibson doing cuckoos at a distance, this DTV of broke action is vouched everywhere else. The staging is of distressing platitude, the scenario treated with the hussard, the characterization of the horrendously summarized characters, the ridiculous dialogues, the rest of the bad casting and the scenes « enlivened » as mullassonnes as anti-spectacular. A fatally boring turnip.
IMAGE – Cardboard island
The definition is maintained, the details are clear, the colorimetric palette is balanced and the contrast rate solid. A few compressive artifacts (from the colour banding and a little tingling) nevertheless appear here in the darkest scenes. It should be noted that this is a French master's degree.
SON – Flat electrocardiogram
Particularly discreet for lossless audio, this soundtrack with the absent dynamics, the surround scene too silent and the shots without any impact (Gatling mutter included!) remains nevertheless clear with perfectly audible voices.
Unbalanced by overmixed dubbing and covered with a breath that goes back and forth, the VF has no choice but to let some of the atmospheres go.
CONCLUSION – Killing is the past!
If he no longer kills people now (bravo to him!), was it necessary to kill the spectators boredom? Anyway, the monotony of audio mixing looks like a watch-apens!
