WORK - The Son of the Devil
During the Wars of Yugoslavia, Harlan made a living by pretending to be a Dampyr (in Slavic mythology, a half-human and half-vampire being) capable of ridding villages of vampires. Soon, he was summoned by soldiers attacked by bloodthirsty creatures...
Far from being dishonorable but far too generic in his field, this vampiric B series with cliché characters adaptsthe eponymous fumettonot without treating his artistic direction. And if the (many) action scenes know how to handle the stake, the screenplay facilities surrounding them are far too visible in the mirror. Too bad, his ambitions were commendable.

IMAGE - We are at night
Although technical progress towards the excellent Blu-ray is not necessarily indispensable in view of a cinematography where the WCG and the high luminances can only rarely express themselves (if it is when witches use the blue protection spell and the Masters of the Night use their red powers), this UHD HDR10 transfer sometimes fragile (a little solarization here and there) better tames the ambient darkness (which increases in readability) and benefits from a modest veil of additional sharpness with slightly thinner textures (visible mainly during the rare day passages).
Listen to your blood
Encoded in DTS-HD MA 5.1, this fluid soundtrack, dynamic and pleasantly well distributed across the various channels ensures the great spectacle with a supernatural fishing and an impressive sense of space.
The audio scene is full of details of all kinds, the effects and other atmospheres spread 360° with perfect clarity (even during the loudest moments), the energetic music ofLorenzo TomioThere is no lack of scope, the dialogues are well exuded by the power station and the LFE channel regularly releases bass from the otter.
CONCLUSION - To the person's boot
Barely more armed on 4K Ultra HD support (she sees better in darkness), this vampire hunt « BDesque » to intriguing mythology is unfortunately not distinguished from the all-coming of this kind of production. But if you are not allergic to garlic, it is not forbidden to be tempted by this Italian saga (which is what next?) in no shame. Get out of here!
