In 50 B.C., the Empress of China was imprisoned following a coup d'état fomented by Deng Tsin Quin, a felon prince. Helped by Graindemaïs, the Phoenician merchant, and his faithful warrior Tat Han, Princess Fu Yi, the sole daughter of the Empress, fled to Gaul to ask for help from the two brave Asterix and Obelix warriors.
Even so far from the peaks reached byAlain ChabatwithCleopatra Mission, this 5th opus signedGuillaume Canetdoes not, however, deserve the virulent critical lynching that he received during his film exploitation (due to his pharaohix budget and/or to a « Cane bashing » ?). In spite of the caulking valves, a woke wasting demago, sewn peripetias of white wire, an acting generally deficient (exceptGilles LelloucheandVincent Cassel) and the show not funnyCohenInvasive, this adventure comedydedicated to children, first of the license to propose an original story, respects the Gaudriole dear to René Goscinny and is «nanty» a real tender heart (the human before the warrior with questions related to love, doubts and friendship). In short, much more honorifix than the terribly boringOlympic Games, this gauloiserie listening to news (private jokes for youth today) proves no matter what happens entertaining. That's ten!
A trip that has Bonemine?
Toc in its rendering (a digital photograph too flashing) but no less close to technically speaking perfection (if this is the appearance of rare compressive traces including a handful of noisy planes), this UHD Dolby Carbide Vision transfer to the magic potion.
The definition does not decrease much, the piqué is even more sharp than on the Blu-ray (the moustaches, the hair, the costumes, the armors, the accessories, the decorations), the colorimetrix palette at saturation gladly « BDesque » benefits from increased luxuriance (the red pants of Asterix, the blue stripes of the obelix chalk, the vegetation, the gilding), the contrasts ensure (the blacks are superb and the bright whites) even though the dark scenes are rare and the light sources, perennial (the day, the flames, etc.), shine with a thousand fires.
When -M- plays Remix!
There is little room for effects, even in row battles, and an LFE channel left on the key bench (except during the final assault) for a soundtrack mixed at a fairly low level (do not hesitate to increase the volume of at least 10 dB compared to your reference level) but still fairly large and well distributed.
As for the rest, the score ofMatthew Chedid(very focused on Asia) is generously put forward, the dialogues are always clear (this is never certain with the French cinema) and even if exploited with parsimonix, the verticality of the mixing is not afraid that the sky will fall on its head (as when throwing Romans or the arrival of a rain of arrows).
