WORK – When the rich kill the poor
As the annual Purge is about to begin, Leo, a dark and enigmatic man, haunted by the disappearance of his son, wants revenge. Eva, a single mother who tries to make ends meet, is forced to leave her apartment. Shane and Liz, a young couple, suffered a car breakdown just minutes from the beginning of the Purge. Everyone joins forces to defend themselves and try to survive a unleashing of violence, horror and chaos meant to rid the country of bad human impulses...
This intense and oppressive manhunt, which broadens the point of view of its elder to place most of its action in hostile urban environment, is a nervous and violent survival with advantageous plastic, hyper-efficient killings and virulent political-social denunciation.
IMAGE – Locked out
Even though it is immersed in a near-continuous darkness, this HDR10 UHD transfer is stunning all the way!. It must also be said that the images are dotted with flattering multicolored bursts.
The definition is even more mastered than in HD (see the sharpness of the decorations), the details abounding even during low-light sequences are refined (especially on faces and clothes), the contrasts have been judiciously reinforced (blacks are incredibly thick and whites are much brighter), the bright and stylized colours (a photograph with a golden dominant) that are better saturated (the shades better emerge in the dark) gain in heat (it is more connected with the climate of Los Angeles) and in balance (the carnation is healthier), and the light sources (the sunset like sunrise, urban lighting, indoor lamps), regularly blinding, are distinguished by a truly impressive intensity.

Dynamic soundtracks (the rise of violence has a lot of impact) and immersive that diffuse voices perfectly integrated into the mix and distribute, with all the necessary nuances, a multitude of effects in the acoustic space, rich surround atmospheres (the hustle and bustle of the street) and very anxious round bass (the engine of the Dodge Charger). Chaos is here!
More authoritarian, the VO encoded in DTS:X uses effectively a regularly striking aerial component (the sound of the alarm that announces the Purge, the resonance of the shots).
CONCLUSION – Will you survive the night?
As all crimes are allowed for 12 hours, the killing continues in America! Fortunately, the sharper senses of this 4K Ultra HD should allow you to escape your attackers.
